This dipping oil is incredibly simple to make. All you need are a handful of common ingredients. But this type of recipe has always been my favorite type of recipe-easy, fast, but loaded with flavor.
Shallots, garlic, onion, green peppercorns, chives, and green onion.

Total Time 10 min.
Ingredients
1 tsp. Penzeys Italian Herb Mix — or sage, rosemary + thyme
1/2 tsp. parsley
1/2 tsp. Penzeys California Basil
1/2 tsp. Penzeys Crushed Red Pepper
1/2 tsp. Penzeys Pepper
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. Minced Garlic — soaked in 1 tsp. water for 5 minutes
1 C. olive oil
Directions
Combine all of the spice in a mortar and crush with a pestle. Or pulse lightly in a blender.
Add the spices to the olive oil and stir/blend to combine.
Let sit for at least 10 minutes for the flavors to meld. Pour into a small shallow bowl and serve with crusty bread for dipping.
