This Summer, Weathered Eye Farm is partnering with SNAC Garden Foundation to assist in the development of their first community-based Summer garden education program. The SNAC (School Nutrition Agri-Culture) Garden Foundation is a local non-profit that cultivates health, learning, and nourishment by creating equitable access to nature and food. Through hands-on gardening, science-based education, and sustainable practices, they inspire wellness, nurture curiosity, and strengthen community. Educators employed and trained by SNAC are sent to 4 Sussex County public schools. Last year, 2,675 students in their individualized programs spent a total of 35,275 hours in gardens, among other things harvesting 73 different crops and 1,534 lbs of salad.

This Summer, with our partnership, it is possible to expand their reach and make a comprehensive hands-on nutrition and garden curriculum available to all youth-serving organizations in Sussex County! But for this partnership to work, we need your help!

SNAC’s Weathered Eye Farm program has its own campaign, and anything donated it will directly fund their community-based program located here at the farm.
