Native Plants

Mark Shaw is a seasoned master gardener and certified arborist with more than 30 years of experience in the field. His interest in native plants took root during his childhood on a farm in southern Illinois, where he developed a lasting appreciation for the natural environment.

Over the years, Mark has refined his expertise on the Delmarva Peninsula, shaping his craft through hands-on experience and regional knowledge. Alongside his partner, Charles Vandergrift, he co-founded a consulting business based in Sussex County. Together, they provide landscaping, property layout, and maintenance guidance for homeowners associations, private homeowners, and businesses. Mark will discuss:
